Mem Talks says
On June 8, the Memphis CVB will host the first tourism economic development symposium.

MEMTalks' national and international speakers will share how we can leverage Memphis' current momentum into the future.

Because we're Memphis, you can expect fun, creative sales and marketing ideas, prizes and surprises, music, food and, of course, an all-out party.

What not to expect? The familiar formula. The sit-down lunch has been replaced with Memphis-themed treats and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Attend to hear from a variety of speakers including:

● Roger Dow, US Travel: How Memphis fits into America’s Travel Outlook
● Kelly McDonald: How to Market to People Not Like You
● Hayley Bentley: The Memphis Brand
● Jay Salyers: Showcase of Memphis is “Always On” Campaign
● David Nicholson: Memphis from Across the Pond
● Terri Freeman: National Civil Rights Museum
● Logan Guleff: What’s Cookin’ In Memphis

The day will end with live music and a networking reception.

Boo Mitchell of Royal Studios and recent Grammy Award winner will bring his expertise and a talented collection of Memphis Musicians to close the event. Expect an “Uptown Funk” story from Boo.
