Midsummer In Newtown At Indie Memphis With Producer Tom Yellin says
Come to the only Memphis screening of Midsummer in Newtown, at 6pm on Saturday, November 5 at Studio on the Square, during the Indie Memphis Film Festival. And stay afterwards for a Q & A with the producer of the film, my brother Tom. I will be doing the Q. He will be doing the A.

This is a really touching film about the kids in Newtown, CT, who were students during the shooting at Sandy Hook Elemenatry School, working together with Broadway theatre people on a production of Midsummer Night's Dream. It shows the healing power of the arts. I will talk to Tom about producing it, and about his work in general. The link to reserve tickets is below, along with links to a clip and to the trailer for the film. You should buy your tickets now to make sure you don't miss it.

As if that isn't enough, and you think you want the whole Yellin experience, or if you can't make it to the film, come see a panel I am moderating with Tom earlier in the day at 4:30 at Playhouse on the Square. It's free. We will talk about how documentaries have evolved to become more like narrative films. Joining my bro on the panel will be two other amazing producers in town for the festival, Jamilla Wignot (A Stray) and Chris Leggett (Love True).
