Palestine Festival says
Join us for the inaugural Palestine Festival from 11am to 3pm at the Overton Park Greensward. The festival is hosted by the Memphis Palestine Festival planning committee. This free event celebrates Memphis’ Palestinian community while serving as a destination for those interested in learning more about Palestine and its culture.

The Festival will feature traditional Palestinian food, music, dabke (dancing), fashion, henna tattoos, and a photo booth along with other cultural activities. The food will be catered by various local Middle Eastern restaurants and will be free to the public until supplies run out. The authentic Palestinian cuisine offered will be falafel, tabouli, grape leaves, fresh bread and baklava along with Arabic coffee.

This event is free and open to the public

-----Festival announcements-----
We will have music and casual dabke dancing throughout the day as well as a scheduled performance by the Turmusaya Dabke Group and a Fashion Show (see schedule below).

A tamarind juice guy will be walking around and pouring tamarind juice for visitors, similar to how they do in the markets of Palestine. Starting around 12pm we will have a few talented ladies doing Palestinian embroidery demonstrations in their booth. We will also have a bread making demonstration booth. Stay tuned for more announcements!
