Teacher Workshop: Red Grooms says
Join us for a dynamic workshop that explores the Brooks Museum’s fall exhibition, "Red Grooms: Traveling Correspondent." Growing
up in Tennessee, Grooms encountered the southern tradition of storytelling, and its influence is apparent in his work.

The exhibition includes approximately 50 examples of Grooms’s signature three-dimensional paintings, sculptures, installations, prints, and films that celebrate important Tennessee historical figures and the bustling city life of New York.

Teachers will learn more about Grooms and the narrative qualities of his work through discussion, gallery activities, and art-making.

Teachers will receive a certificate for 3 hours of professional development credit and a copy of the exhibition curriculum guide.

To reserve your spot for the workshop, please email your name, email address, teaching subject, and school name to: kathy.dumlao@brooksmuseum.org, or call 901 544 6246.
