Let the citywide celebrity takeover begin!
It was just announced that Grammy-winning singer Kendrick Lamar will be teaming up with visual artist Shantell Martin for a special Art Basel concert this week at Faena Miami Beach's Art Dome.
The Compton-born rapper and London-based visual artist will share the stage inside the pop-up arena on the beach for a multi-sensory experience like no other. Shantell, who's worked with brands like Maybelline, Lane Crawford and Warby Parker, will live sketch a mural while Kendrick performs several of his chart-topping hits. Her drawings will then be projected throughout the dome and over the crowd.
Unlike the majority of Art Basel events, you won't need lots of money (trees) or celebrity connections to get into this performance. One thing you will need, though, is an American Express card. The show, part of Amex's Music Meets Art campaign, is open exclusively to card holders during Cyber Monday.
