Are you ready to conga, Miami?
Gloria and Emilio Estefan are bringing their Tony-winning musical, On Your Feet, to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts this fall.
"Miami audiences are going to react differently," said Gloria Tuesday night, as she and Emilio announced the big news to a large crowd gathered at the Arsht Center. "Miami is in the show."
The musical tells the true story of the couple's rise to fame and their struggles to achieve the American dream. "This will be able to inspire minority people: if they did it, we can do it," said Emilio. "Eso es Miami!"
The Miami production of On Your Feet kicks off the show's national tour as part of the Arsht Center's 12th annual Broadway in America season.
