Fri 31

Fashionably Conscious

Proceeds from the shopping event benefit the Barnyard Center in West Coconut Grove and its free after-school programs for children in the community. Expect plenty of champagne and bites courtesy of Estefan Kitchen.

National Oysters on the Half Shell Day

Another day, another food holiday. This time, we're celebrating oysters, which Izzy's has on special during happy hour. Arrive between 4pm and 8pm and take advantage of bottomless oysters and Narragansett beer for just $28. There's also a late-night happy hour from 10pm to midnight, featuring $2 oysters and $4 oyster sliders.

Underground Lauderdale Fashion Weekend

The city of Fort Lauderdale is showing off its style with a weekend-long celebration that features runway shows, fashion events and designer talks. Catch Nicole Miller debut her spring 2017 collection, meet Project Runway's Nina Garcia, shop the weekend style market and much more. The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills will also be on-site for a series of activations and giveaways. Mar 31–Apr 2. Various dates and times; $20–$250.

Sat 1

Sprung Beer Festival

Wynwood has become a mecca for craft beer, which is why it’s no surprise to see the Sprung Beer Festival—celebrating the best local brews in South Florida—return to Mana Wynwood this April. Bringing together more than 300 brewskis, the one-day event unites thousands as they eat and drink their way through one of Miami’s booziest afternoons.

Shopping Olympics

Who says shopping isn't a sport? If walking the mall is your cardio, head to Brickell City Centre for its first annual Shopping Olympics. Competitors can choose from bronze, silver and gold level participation status, which vary by perks (gold members get open bar, unlimited bites and a swag bag) and parking privileges. All participants receive a passport to have stamped after each purchase, of which a portion of proceeds benefits the Special Olympics. Expect live entertainment and appearances by musician Kevin Lyttle and other celebrities.

Fashion + Art + Music Night

Roam Coconut Grove on the first Saturday of each month, when the neighborhood shops and galleries open their doors for an art, fashion and music showcase.

Dry Powder

Sarah Burgess's slashing dark comedy about corporate greed and image control stars Katherine McDonald (Jenny), Alex Alvarez (Seth), Stephen Anthony (Rick) and Robert Strain (Jeff) as partners in a private-equity firm who are at odds over a deal. It's directed by GableStage's artistic director, Joseph Adler.

Sun 2

Locales Festival

Bayside Marketplace is celebrating its 30th year with a full day of events, concerts and culinary demos. Hosted by chef James Tahhan, the first-annual Locales Festival brings together several of Miami's top chefs, including Cindy Hutson, Adrianne Calvo and Ingrid Hoffmann, and highlights the city's vibrant Latin culture with performances and lots of family-friendly activities.

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition

Florida’s largest county fair, better known as the Youth Fair, is back and chock-full of events and activities for the whole family. Expect more than 90 carnival rides, live concerts, shows and a European-style circus all in one place.

All the Way

President Lyndon Baines Johnson’s attempts to wangle passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 form the basis of this wonky historical drama, with a diverse cast of characters that includes Martin Luther King Jr., Lady Bird Johnson, J. Edgar Hoover and more.

Miami Tennis Open 2017
