The Little Havana street party and gallery week, now in its 17th year, celebrates Latin culture with an old-school pachanga, featuring art exhibits, live music and dancing in one of Miami's most famous cultural hubs. Various food and drink vendors routinely set up on the sidewalk along the strip. Calle Ocho between 13th and 17th Aves. Sept 29 7–11pm

The onetime altar boy turned alt-comedy superstar spent six years writing for Saturday Night Live while developing his own sharply observational stand-up persona. His fall tour supports his fourth stand-up special, Kid Gorgeous.

Pinewood Cemetery Walking Tour with Dr. George

Talk about eerie adventures. Join HistoryMiami’s Dr. Paul George for a walk through Coral Gables’ Pinewood, the oldest cemetery in the city south of the Miami River, and learn about the final resting place of more than 200 settlers. Note that Pinewood is located within a residential neighborhood (on Erwin Rd and 47th Ave) and photography is not permitted. Your ticket includes admission to the museum.

Aaron T. Stephan, “Cement Houses and How to Build Them”

The Portland, Oregon, sculptor grapples with the American dream of homeownership in times of recession, plus the recent U.S. housing-market boom. Using only a one-man concrete block-making device sold by Sears in the early 1900s, the artist will produce hundreds of blocks to build the facade of a home inside Locust Projects’ main space.

Not Your Standard Bingo: III Points edition

III Points Festival takes over The Standard Spa’s monthly bingo night. Hang out with cohosts Mokibaby, Ashley Venom, Haiiileen and Michelle Granado and listen to music from guest DJ Get Face while competing for your chance to win passes to this year’s music festival in Wynwood, hotel stays, pool passes and all sorts of prizes. The event is free to attend but RSVP is encouraged.
