David Grutman—hospitality entrepreneur and nightlife impresario behind LIV, Komodo and a string of other Miami hotspots— is at it again, this time with a new plant-based restaurant called Planta. The Toronto transplant (the first in the U.S.) is set to open in the South of Fifth neighborhood at 850 Commerce Street in early 2018.

Cult celebrity sunglass brand Privé Revaux, which you’ve likely seen shielding Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid from those prying paps, has opened its first South Florida retail locations. Shop the stylish and affordable eyewear (all priced at just $29.95) at Aventura Mall, Sawgrass Mills and Dadeland Mall (opening November 22).

The Confidante has launched a new cafecito window. Every day between the hours of 6 and 11am, guests of the Mid Beach hotel, which is home to restaurants Bird & Bone and Talde, can walk up to the lobby bar and order Cuban coffee (colada, café con leche, cortadito) and an assortment of Cuban pastries—because Miami.
