From facials and massages to luxurious mani/pedis, get top-notch services for a fraction of the price all throughout August and September.

Update: Miami Spa Months has been extended through October 31.
With so much canceled this year, it’s nice to see an annual happening make its expected return. Miami Spa Months is one we’re especially excited about now that we’ve all morphed into walking, talking stress balls. It’s the yearly celebration of the county’s excellent luxury spas during which guests can take up to 50-percent off treatments—from facials and massages to manicures and body polishes (yes, that’s a thing). Treatments are priced at $109, $139 or $199 and typically include access to the facility’s amenities like saunas, pools and steam rooms.
If you’ve benefited from the spa months in previous years, you’ll be happy to know there have only been a few adjustments. The dates were moved to August 7 through October 31 rather than the normal July and August. Plus, fewer spas are slated to participate, though that may change as places decide to jump in later when they’re ready. The biggest difference you’ll notice will be once you’re inside. With the pandemic, facilities have had to bring establishments up to new safety standards recommended by the CDC. Each spa was vetted by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, which puts on Miami Spa Months, to ensure every single one was in compliance.
Businesses can take additional safety measures, such as taking guests’ temperatures upon arrival, prohibiting the use of shared amenities like lockers and showers and limiting access to communal amenities. That last bit might be a bummer for folks used to making a day out of their spa experiences, though most places are sticking to last year’s plan and allowing people to use the pool.
At best, you’ll get to spend the day lounging by a hotel pool after a super-relaxing treatment. At worst, you’ll release some of the tension building up in your muscles after five months of lockdown (!) for a fraction of the price you’d otherwise pay for a fancy massage. Either way, it's a win-win. Here’s a current list of the participating spas:
–Hot in Your Hood: The best bites and sips in Coconut Grove
–These Miami hotels are now offering day passes for their swimming pools
–The coolest improvised outdoor dining we’ve seen so far in Miami
–This popular Wynwood bar is popping up at the Citadel rooftop
–Ghee’s Niven Patel is opening a new restaurant in Coral Gables
