There are two known facts about the holidays: they are stressful and they are made infinitely better with booze. For those of you hosting holiday parties this year, you’re likely to find yourself at the awful crosssection of these unfortunate truths. Fortunately, juggling entertaining responsibilities and bartending duties is something we can help with. First, we’ll tell you to skip the craft cocktails and go straight for a spiked punch. They’re easy to make, look good and free you from pouring drinks for guests all night. Plus, they’re sneakily potent. The second thing we’ll insist on is this punch from Miracle in Miami, the super festive Christmas bar in Wynwood. These folks know holiday drinks, which we know, in part because we’ve never left Miracle sober.

RECOMMENDED: Christmas in Miami

Miracle Punch

  • 1 part Havana Club Añejo Clasico Rum (or try Santa Teresa 1796 for more chocolate notes or Banks Rum 7 for some funk)
  • 3/4 part of Gra’it Grappa
  • 1/2 part Oloroso Sherry
  • 1/2 part ginger juice
  • 1/5  parts of apple cider
  • 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Serve over ice and garnish with a rosemary sprig. The punch serves six but can be scaled up to accommodate your party size.

Cheers, y’all!
