Welcome to Food Envy, where we’ll highlight different dishes from Time Out Market Miami that we think you’re going to love—partly because we do. This week, we’re raving about our favorite afternoon pick-me-up at Bachour.

RECOMMENDED: Guide to Time Out Market Miami

There are a number of ways to beat the afternoon slump. You could have a cup of coffee and hope the caffeine actually kicks in this time. You could also give in and take a nap, which is a nice thought but impossible when you have actual work to do. A third option, and one we highly recommend, is to order a macaron and a cortado from Bachour at Time Out Market Miami.

Unlike a plain cup of Joe, the flavorful cortado combines potent espresso with a couple of ounces of steamed milk. It’s warm and velvety and goes down smooth like a mini latte that won’t fill you up. As its name suggests, Boucher’s proprietary blend of Miami-based Per’La Specialty Roasters’ is espresso fino that’s easier on the palate than most.

The cortado alone is good but pair it with a macaron and you’ve got yourself a winning combo. Bachour serves an assortment of flavors, from pistachio and chocolate to peanut butter and jelly (yes!). You can’t go wrong with any of them but the cookies and cream macaron is always our number one choice for an afternoon snack. It reminds us of eating Oreos after school, except this time the cookies are made by an award-winning pastry chef and there’s a damn good coffee drink to dunk them in.
