Aventura Mall is quickly becoming more of a dining destination than a place to shop. After welcoming Hank & Harry’s inside the new Treats Food Hall—plus whetting our palates with news of the forthcoming Shake Shack—the sprawling shopping mall announces the fifth outpost of Pubbelly Sushi, opening this Saturday.
The 130-seat restaurant, which opens daily from 11:30am to 11pm, will have indoor and outdoor areas for diners to enjoy chef José Mendín’s signature Asian-meets-Latin cuisine—think Pubbelly Sushi’s classic tuna pizza and tostones stuffed with ceviche. Other favorites to grace the Aventura menu include the butter krab roll and the wagyu beef tartare, as well as cooked options from the robata grill. Wash it all down with wine, beer and a slew of sake-based cocktails like the Bloody Geisha, an Asian take on a Bloody Mary.
Though you may want to stop in after you’ve done all of your shopping: Pubbelly Group’s extraordinary pastry chef, Maria Orantes, has stacked the dessert menu with treats such as the coco loco, dulce de leche mousse and other sugary favorites. Alternatively, you can always buy larger pants. Aventura Mall has plenty of those.
