Salty Donut launches a new limited-edition doughnut

Another day, another mouthwatering release from the Salty Donut.

Unlike previous collabs and seasonally inspired doughnuts, this limited-edition flan croughnut hits stores tomorrow in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. It’s a mashup of two of the shop’s most popular flavors and features a 24-hour layered brioche croughnut that’s been filled with a house-made flan custard infused with a Havana Club rum reduction. The doughy confection is then rolled in cinnamon and sugar and topped with caramel and 24k gold dust.

Guests get a mini bottle of Havana Club Rum with a recipe card for the ultimate Cuban cocktail pairing, while supplies last.

The flan croughnut is available today via UberEats (without the bonus booze, unfortunately) and in store tomorrow through September 30. You don’t have to be Hispanic to enjoy the croughnut-rum combo but a tolerance to sugary snacks—built up through years of cafecito and pastelito breaks—won’t hurt.
