Fri 16

“Avenues of Expression: Street Traditions in Miami”

You’re invited to opening night of HistoryMiami’s latest exhibit, “Avenues of Expression: Street Traditions in Miami.” Experience the irreverent sights and sounds captured in this colorful showcase while celebrating on the museum plaza, featuring musical performances and free Tito’s vodka cocktails. Use code HMPartner to RSVP.

Snail of Approval Tasting Party

Local nonprofit Slow Food Miami—dedicated to furthering awareness of sustainable food practices and raising money for the Edible Garden Program—puts on its seventh annual farm-to-table feast with help from the city’s top restaurants. Taste bites from Snail of Approval honorees (voted on by the public), like Beaker & Gray and Glass & Vine, and sip kombucha and other slow drinks all while exploring the lush grounds of Miami Beach’s Palms Hotel.

Cultura Profetica

Puerto Rican jam band Cultura Profética hit the Wynwood stage alongside Grammy-nominated artist Rawayana. Let their chill island vibes warm you up on what promises to be another unseasonably chilly night.

Sat 17

Macrame Workshop by Yerbamala Designs

Learn how to jazz up your boring planters while learning basic macrame skills during this chill afternoon of arts and crafts. The knotted plant hangers are yours to keep after class.

Jazz in the Gardens

The biggest draw at the yearly jazz festival may not even be the jazz; it’s probably the impressive lineup of ’90s hip-hop acts including Biz Markie, Salt-N-Pepa and Miami’s own Trick Daddy. Prepare for a heavy dose of nostalgia.

Sun 18

The Miami Flea

Come out to flea’s St. Patrick’s Day edition, where you’ll find local clothes jewelry, food and more. Not in the mood to shop? Just go for the live music and vibes, especially if it’s a gorgeous day. This month, the City Gazette introduces a free poker tournament—sign-ups begin at 2pm.

Saffron Supper Club

The popular traveling dinner series pops up at the Betsy’s skyline deck, where executive chef Danny Ganem prepares a wine-paired, Israeli steak dinner. The menu includes kibbeh, falafel, porterhouse and rib-eye steaks, but the real star is at the end: dessert is tahini ice cream with mini baklava. As is true of all Saffron Supper Clubs, guests can enjoy poetry, culture, music and perhaps even some sparkler-festooned platters.
