Barbecues, picnics, rooftop happy hours—all signs that summer has arrived, just not in Miami. Our reality is rain, thunderstorms, humidity and the occasional sunny, sweltering day. We’re not complaining, we love it here. We know how to make the most of the season and, luckily, so does Time Out Market Miami.

On July 9, our editorially curated culinary destination is inviting everyone to take cover and take part in *the* party of the summer. You’ll only need to bring yourself to this beachy bash because we’ve got everything handled. We’ll be bringing the tropics to you by way of tasty frozen cocktails (adorable garnishes and all!) and complementing the extra daytime hours with an all-day happy hour. From the time we open at 4pm to the minute we close our doors at 11pm, specialty cocktails will be $8, wine $7 and beer $5. And like all great days on the sand, expect the Market to fill with music from some of our favorite local DJs.

Food is the main event at this party, and we’ve got all of your summer essentials covered, from tasty tacos at La Santa Taqueria to a juicy cheeseburger at Kush to a refreshing ice cream cone at Azucar. Plus, we’re bringing back the Local Cuban! The makers of some of Miami’s best croquetas return to the Market on July 9 and stick around permanently to satisfy your future Latin food cravings. There's one name you won’t immediately recognize but soon won't forget after just a taste: Chick’n Jones. Celebrity chef Amaris Jones makes her big Market debut on July 7 and will be ready to serve up her stellar fried chicken for all of Friday’s partygoers. More on her mouthwatering menu in the days to come, so stay tuned. You’ll want to be first in line to try her food.

We won’t give away all of next Friday’s surprises except to say we’ll have a tattoo artist on site for anyone looking to finally get an adorable pizza stenciled on their wrist. It wouldn’t be summer if you didn’t make a few questionable choices, now would it? Get the pizza and maybe an ice cream cone? Tattoos are going to be just $20 a pop.

Summer in the City goes down on July 9 from 4pm to 11pm. All are welcome and parking will be available on the street and in the garage, where it’s just $6 (for two hours) with Market validation. See you there—rain or shine!
