Good news for your sun-scorched eyeballs.

Hipster eyewear purveyor Warby Parker is opening its second Miami store in Coconut Grove this week! The popular New York City-based retailer—known for selling trendy, affordable frames and its famous buy a pair, give a pair concept—debuts an adorable, library-themed shop at 3403 Main Highway complete with oak-lined shelves stocked with decorative tomes and great beach reads for sale.

There’s even a neat, marble reference desk in place of a register where customers can pay, pick-up online orders and get their frames adjusted. Behind it is a custom mural by Miami-based illustrator Gabriel Alcala, whose colorful piece reflects Coconut Grove’s vibrant landscape and laid-back spirit. It also makes a great case for buying circular lenses.

Like the Wynwood shop that preceded it, the Grove carries Warby Parker’s full range of optical and sunwear collections, including the new Summer Edit featuring a tight selection of seasonal styles. Among the fresh picks is the Haskell frame in Paloma Crystal (a pinkish clear hue), which will only be available at the Coconut Grove store until it sells out.

Warby Parker opens on Saturday, July 14th, with a daylong celebration that includes free gelato from neighboring Bianco Gelato and custom tote bags by Alcala for customers.

Gratis ice cream and bargain glasses? Now might be a good time to replace your missing sunnies.
