Calling all witches and wizards: With so many kid-friendly things to do in Montreal this fall, it’s time to add this to your list.

Halloween is taking over the Botanical Gardens, blurring the boundaries between fantasy and reality with activities for kids of all ages.

Get ready for sorcerers, wand handling classes, potions workshops and a play featuring Scaredy Squirrel—one of our favourite children’s books.

When do the Halloween activities start?

Things kick off at Espace pour la vie's Botanical Gardens starting on September 29 and run until October 31.

What are all the Halloween activities available?

Stop by the Sorcerer’s Haven (a menagerie of strange creatures like cat-spiders) or take a Wand Handling Class (learn how to wield a magic wand and master its power!) or Potions Workshop (think plant witchery and potion-making).

Don’t miss the Scaredy Squirrel play, the Magic Steps Circuit (a treasure hunt for spooky creatures), learning about the power of gourds or KOWAI! (Japanese stories about evil ogres, witches, spirits and demons).

What else is happening at Espace pour la vie?

Espace pour la vie is made up of five major attractions: the Biodôme, the Biosphère, the Insectarium, the Botanical Gardens and the Planétarium.
