Anchoring this new pre-flight experience is a full-service bar, part of the airline’s multi-year effort to modernize its global lounge network.

Air Canada is modernizing its global lounge network, and we’re here for it.
The new Air Canada Café at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) marks the airline’s second such space at the airport, further expanding its premium domestic lounge offering.
It follows the successful debut of a similar concept at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), reinforcing Air Canada’s broader effort to elevate the customer journey through enhanced ground services.

According to an Air Canada press release, the Vancouver and Montréal cafés are designed not only to elevate the pre-flight experience but also to reflect the character of each city—with each café conceived as a distinct expression of place.
Situated in the C concourse near gates 50 and 51, the new YVR Café spans 4,489 square feet and seats 84 guests.
At its centre is a full-service bar offering barista-crafted coffee, local craft beers on tap, and a curated wine list featuring Okanagan Crush Pad labels alongside international selections, as well as cocktails.
The food program highlights seasonal, locally sourced ingredients inspired by Vancouver’s culinary landscape, with dishes ranging from char siu pork bao buns and vegan curry bao to freshly prepared vegetarian kimbap, complemented by pastries from Granville Island’s Lee’s Donuts.

Designed by Vancouver’s SmartDesign Group, the space draws on the natural environment of the West Coast.
A sculptural ceiling references the shoreline of Stanley Park, while lighting inspired by river stones reinforces the organic design language.
The café also showcases works by local artists Renée Van Halm and Coast Salish artist Kelly Cannell, whose piece Connections anchors the space.
The Vancouver opening follows the March launch of Air Canada’s Montréal Café in the U.S. departures area at YUL, its second café at the airport.

The 62-seat space pays homage to Montréal’s coffee culture and serves transborder passengers with a locally driven menu.
Highlights include smoked meat sandwiches, Montréal-style bagels, artisanal pastries such as pistachio croissants, and a vegan soup created by Sagamité Watso, a Québec-based Indigenous-owned business.
The beverage program features local producers including L’Orpailleur Winery, Distillerie du Fjord gin, and craft beers from Montréal’s RJ Brasseur brewery.

Access is reserved for eligible travellers, including Business Class passengers, Aeroplan 50K, 75K and Super Elite members, Star Alliance Gold members, and select Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders.
