A new weather warning has been issued by Environment Canada, and it’s heavy.

Following an icy blast of arctic air, Environment Canada's yellow warning is cautioning up to 20 cm of snow into Thursday evening throughout the Greater Montreal Area.

On Thursday, winds will be strong and will cause blowing snow, locally reducing visibility.

Environment Canada warns that travel will likely be challenging, with a significant impact on rush hour traffic.

Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
