A new weather warning has been issued by Environment Canada, and it’s heavy.
Following an icy blast of arctic air, Environment Canada's yellow warning is cautioning up to 20 cm of snow into Thursday evening throughout the Greater Montreal Area.
On Thursday, winds will be strong and will cause blowing snow, locally reducing visibility.
Environment Canada warns that travel will likely be challenging, with a significant impact on rush hour traffic.
Visibility will likely be reduced at times.

What is a yellow weather warning?
Environment Canada has three new colour-coded weather alerts:
Yellow:
Yellow alerts are the most common. They mean hazardous weather may cause damage, disruption, or health impacts. The impacts of yellow alerts are moderate, localized and/or short-term.
Orange:
Orange alerts are uncommon. They signal severe weather is likely to cause significant damage, disruption, or health impacts. The impacts of orange alerts are major, widespread and/or may last a few days.
Red
Red alerts are rare. They indicate very dangerous and possibly life-threatening weather will cause extreme damage and disruption. The impacts of red alerts are extensive, widespread, and prolonged.
