One of our favourite Christmas markets is about to get seriously cheesy.

As part of Atwater Market’s Montreal Christmas Village—one of the city’s best Christmas markets—the iconic Montreal Raclette Party is back this year, and is more delicious than ever.

The 7th edition of this epic gourmet event will take place on Friday, December 1st, starting at 5:00 pm at Atwater Market, a few steps from Lionel-Groulx metro.

Last year, more than 2,500 food enthusiasts devoured the famous raclette from Quebec cheese shop Fritz.

This gourmet rendezvous includes a (very generous) plate of raclette, potatoes, pickles and bread for $16 (taxes not included), to be enjoyed around the outdoor fireplaces.

Or go for the fully loaded option for $20 (taxes not included), which includes a selection of cold cuts, potatoes, pickles, bread, and a healthy dose of melting raclette cheese.

While you’re digging into one of our favourite comfort foods under the twinkling holiday lights, enjoy the Christmas market and its 54 local exhibitors until 9:00 p.m.

Running every weekend until December 30, 2023, the Montreal Christmas Village takes over the Atwater Market. Aside from the chalets featuring holiday treats and trinkets, families can enjoy a visit to Santa’s workshop, buy a Christmas tree, sample sugar shack fare, and—during the Before Times—catch choir performances along with an Elves’ Kingdom to entertain your kiddos.

It’s all about snacking, shopping and gifting thanks to 57 sellers plus five food counters.

Don’t miss the screening of the cult film Les Visiteurs in collaboration with VOST at 5:00 p.m., and a performance by Terrato Fanfare at 7:00 p.m.

Still hungry? Grab a few sweet and savoury treats like churros, crepes, or waffles, and wash it all down with some mulled wine.
