Winding 125 km along the St. Lawrence River, this unique rail journey from Québec City to La Malbaie showcases the charm and beauty of seven seaside and cliffside towns.
Along the way, you can step off to soak up the atmosphere—wander the vibrant streets of Baie-Saint-Paul, relax on the sandy shores of Saint-Irénée, try your luck at the Casino de Charlevoix, or explore the maritime heritage of Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive.

Travelling with your sweetheart or family, the Train de Charlevoix makes it easy to turn a day trip into a short getaway.
No bike? No problem—several stations offer rentals.
And don’t forget your binoculars! Expect endless blue skies, rolling tides, and waves crashing against the shore.

Keep your eyes peeled for a scarlet ship that cuts through a hazy purple backdrop, while great blue herons soar overhead and seals bask lazily on sun-warmed rocks.
Time Out Tip: There’s no food service on board, so passengers are encouraged to pack their own lunch. However, the train is licensed by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ), meaning a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is available for purchase during the ride. Note that outside alcohol is not permitted.
