The countdown to Christmas has officially begun.
Once Halloween is behind us, Montreal goes straight into holiday mode.
From checking out the city’s more sparkly Christmas lights to the arrival of the (free) holiday train, there are plenty of ways to get into the festive spirit—including sipping on a cup of hot chocolate, with a matcha white chocolate chip cookie in hand, at Time Out Market Montreal after visiting the many Christmas markets.
From the Old Port to Jean-Talon Market, Montreal has plenty of markets to explore.
But when do these festive markets open for 2024?
Here are the dates to mark on your calendar if you’re planning to enjoy Montreal’s holiday markets this year.

Open from November 28 and running every weekend until December 22, 2024.
Open from November 22 to December 30, 2024.
Open for three weekends starting in late November.
Open from November 16 and 17, and then 23 and 24, 2024.

Open from November 28 to December 23, 2024.
Open from December 6 to 8 and 13 to 15, 2024.

The Collectif Créatif Etsy Montréal puts on a whole bunch of craft fairs over the Holiday period. Locoshop Angus is open from November 16 to 17 and 23 to 24. Verdun Auditorium is open for two weekends from November 30 to December 1 and December 7 to 8, 2024. And finally Théâtre Denise-Pelletier is open from December 13 to 15, 2024.
