Swan River Yoga Mid-City Mandir says
March 19th

Rejuvenate your body, renew your spirit, and bring calm to your nervous system. All for a good cause ~ receive and give the gift of yoga! Kelly Haas and other Swan teachers will assist you in a practice of mindfully selected slow moving asana to open your hips, spine, and shoulders; followed by restorative yoga with therapeutic assists and aromatherapy oils. Mantra, breathing, and meditation practices included to incorporate all parts of ourselves into the practice. Also, Ashley will also share her insights on the practice of yoga, and mind body connection. Ashley Volion is a Disability activist, research assistant, and Ph.D. Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Disability Studies. She has Spastic Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair for mobility. Yoga has provided Ashley the tools to loosen the muscles restricted by her impairment - gaining greater mobility and less chronic pain. Ashley's access to the yoga practice is most effective in one-on-one private sessions to cater specifically to her needs. She and Kelly Haas meet for weekly private yoga sessions, and this work together not only benefits Ashley, but informs the entire disability community. Please consider joining us.

Investment: $20 suggested donation. Proceeds goes to Ashley’s continued yoga therapy
