Time Out says

Bal Masqué, which takes place every January, is an annual highlight of New Orleans’ Carnival season, as well as one of the city’s premier foodie events. This fun, festive masquerade party — guests come decked out in black tie or costume, and masks are required — features lots of live music (including New Orleans, Cajun, and Haitian performers) and top-notch food and libations from nationally-recognized, James Beard Award-winning chefs. All proceeds benefit the mission of the Link Stryjewski Foundation, which works to nourish, educate and empower the youth of New Orleans.
