About Darling Darla James:
Darling Darla to you, Miss James if you’re nasty.
Hailing from New Orleans, The Sideshow Showgirl, Darling Darla James is a multifaceted entertainer born from the supply closet mishap of a professional pianist and a prima ballerina. She is most known for her slow and slinky spin on Grinder Girl, but also features an array of traditional sideshow working acts such as fire and glass eating, a vanity chair of nails and a ladder of seven deadly machetes in addition to classic and neo-burlesque and circus variety numbers not limited to hula hoops and tissue juggling. Miss James has graced the stages of Risq, Snake Oil Festival, The Blue Book Cabaret, Slow Burn Burlesque, Cirque d’Licious, Big Deal Burlesque and The Dirty Dime Peepshow along with appearances as The Smoking Beaver Sideshow throughout the Gulf Coast.
