Cctc's Free Revolt Of The Beavers says
Theatre is a vital act that should be accessible to all, and so we bring you Revolt of the Beavers, our first event of "The Civilian Theatre Project," an eight-month long community engagement and performance series that explores the necessity of organizing as a vehicle for positive social change. FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Written by Oscar Saul and Louis Lantz and labeled "Marxism à la Mother Goose", Revolt of the Beavers is a fantastical musical following two children into Beaverland, where they help overthrow a tyrannical beaver chief that forces beavers to work without pay. We will spotlight the work of The Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MaCCNO) and raising money for their efforts to support musicians rights.

Original music will be composed by local musician Byron Asher with direction by Cripple Creek's own Jessica Lozano.

Revolt of the Beavers stars:
Kirk Bush (Paul)
Leah Richards (Mary)
Leslie Boles Kraus (Professor)
Dylan Hunter (OakLeaf)
Blake Baudier (The Chief)
Annie Barry (Ruff)
Shannon Flaherty (Gruff)
David Huynh (Beanpole)
Sherri Marina (Barkless Beaver)
Kristin Gremillion(Barkless Beaver)

Presented in partnership with The Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MACCNO) and with the generous support by a Community Partnership grant from The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, funding from the Keller Family Foundation and the New Orleans Theatre Association.
