Join Dancing While Black director Paloma McGregor and Junebug Productions director Stephanie McKee for story circles about dancing while black, centering the voices of black dance makers.

Participants include Baderinwa Ain Rolland, dancer and educator as well as members of Dancing While Black's New Orleans-based Community Advisory Panel which was convened to help shape this project. Advisors include Carol Bebelle (Ashé Cultural Arts Center), Ron Bechet (Xavier University), Kasefera Gunter (recent Xavier graduate), Kesha McKey (NOCCA), Dr. Jana Meyers-Smith (Dillard University) and Na’imah Zulu (Golden Feather).

Following the Story Circle, join us for the performance of Dancing While Black: On Fertile Ground, Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th at the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans
