Bring an item for our altar, and join the Skinz n Bonez and the NOBR Canine Aid & Pleasure Club for a procession and party of spiritual proportions! The walk will take us around the Quarter and Frenchmen Street, and include skeleton face-painters, drink specials, live music at each stop, costumed bullies, and so much more.
We'll roll from Buffas on Esplanade Ave at 7pm, with drummers, dogs, a skeleton krewe, and an altar in honor of beloved human and canine family members who have crossed over. Everyone is encouraged to bring items that they would like to place on it beforehand.
Dogs have always been a big part of Dia de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead. According to Mexican tradition, dogs help lead souls into the "land of the living" and then back to the spiritual realm. We don't know if that's true, but can certainly relate to their mystic power.
All humans and pets are welcome (kids and dogs may not be welcome in certain bars though), and you can meet up with us along the way.
We will have a raffle with lots of great prizes, including this amazing painting by Queen Mardi Claw (now available for viewing at the uptown Louisiana Pizza Kitchen) Raffle tickets will be on sale in the next week.

this pub crawl is to welcome in the fall season, and introduce you and others to Dia De Los Muertos. this yearly celebration takes place in homes across latin america, mexico and the US.
tradition holds that you create an altar for your home. on that altar key elements include candles, food, and daily items that a loved one held in this life. for those in the afterlife, a glass of water for the journey to the living, and a dog. dogs lead the way for those who have passed to cross into the living to celebrate the day of the dead.
we honor all four legged, man's best friend on this roll, and all proceeds will go to aid them in their journey here and now with the living.
