Erica Lamberston At The Salon says
I'm pleased to host the first Salon exhibition with paintings and drawings by Erica Lambertson.

EXHIBITION RUNS: September 3rd through the 30th.

Salon is a private exhibition space one block off Magazine Street on the corner of Delachaise and Constance.

I am pleased to invite you to the first edition of Salon, with artist, Erica Lambertson.

About Salon:
Salon is a side project and exploration of contemporary art within a domestic and social setting, where most art eventually resides. This exploration takes place in my home in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans. With this particular side project, I'm interested in looking at the ways in which various contemporary genres and diverse media fit into the architecture, processional routes, the various domestic functions, and lighting of a furnished home. This is the first of many Salon exhibitions / installations / happenings, with each exhibition running for about a month. In the next few months, I will present also moving image, installation, and other new genres which often are challenged in the domestic context—I hope this project will be an exploration as much for me, as it will be for you!

Erica Lambertson:
Erica Lambertson's exhibition will be presenting oil paintings mainly on panel, as well as works on paper. The collection being shown at Salon largely takes its color palette and narrative from the tropical New Orleans summers. All together there are 43 works, half of which will be formally presented and lit around the house, with the other half presented in the flat file. Attached is a PDF invite with several examples of work from the upcoming Salon. (For more information or a PDF catalogue of works and pricing:
