Indywood Cinema says
Join us for the innovative and long awaited Goodbye to Language by the (in)famous Jean Luc Godard! Screening at Indywood in 3D! Note: We only have 20 3D glasses, so our audiences will be limited to 20 for Goodbye to Language.

But what heck is going on in this film?! It’s very strange and experimental. On our opening night we'll be holding a SPECIAL FILM SCHOOL screening to discuss how Godard engages with the stereoscopic image brings the use of 3D in film to new highs. We'll also review Godard's history as a perceptive and prescient director, and after the film we’ll have a brief discussion/debate about the meaning of the film.

“Mr. Godard has a habit of blending gravity with whimsy. Goodbye to Language is his latest film visual essay and exhibits the formal and philosophical mischief that has been his late-career calling card. It is baffling and beautiful, a flurry of musical and literary snippets arrayed in counterpoint to a series of brilliantly colored and counterpoint to a series of brilliantly colored and hauntingly evocative pictures - of flowers, boats, streets, naked bodies and Mr. Godard's own dog, a mixed-breed scene-stealer identified in the credits as Roxy Miéville. There is also the suggestion of a plot, or rather a gesture in the direction of a weave of narratives involving political intrigue and adultery and touching on some of the filmmaker's recurrent preoccupations.” - A.O.
