JNOLA: Your Hub for Next Gen Jewish Life in New Orleans says
Give back to your community while listening to great music with your friends at our Havdalah for Hope event on January 14 at the Howlin Wolf from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. JNOLA will be collecting travel-sized toiletries and cleaning supplies for the residents of UNITY Sacred Heart Apartments, which helps homeless residents - including veterans - transition into a safe and structured housing environment. Together, we'll be putting your donated items in NourishPacks that will be given directly to UNITY housing residents. Bring a travel-sized item to donate and a get a drink on us!

This event is part of the Jewish Federation's continuing drive to further the Jewish value of Tikkun olam, which roughly translates to repairing the world. Havdalah for Hope is just the first step! The Federation is partnering with local musician, Matt Lemmler, to work with some of the more vulnerable segments of the New Orleans’ population. Together, Federation is putting on Nourish, a Jazz Brunch at UNITY, the day after Havdalah for Hope where residents will get brunch provided by the John Best Foundation, music from Matt Lemmler, and NourishPacks from JNOLA.

If you can’t make it to the event that’s okay, you can still help by sponsoring a NourishPack for $10 – that’s less than the cost of a movie! Click below to sponsor a NourishPack.
