Have Fun, And Help Your Friends Fight Hiv In Uganda! says
Come one, come all, join us, friends, for a Fun Fundraiser featuring the music of Ron Hotstream and the Mid City Drifters, Tina Jamieson, plus Johnny Angel and Helldorado, MarkAlain Dery, Vincent Avila Customhouse, and hosted by Andrew Ward. We are raising money for the HIV Awareness Music Project - Entusi.

We hope to send 10 Americans from multiple musical genres (folk, country, hiphop, electronica, reggae) to collaborate with 40 Ugandan musicians from different regions and styles and create musical fusions never before known. Last year we held a festival which was attended by 4,000 people and 826 people got tested.
This year we hope to raise enough money to have bands and medical workers which will attract 5,000 and 1,500 of them at least will take HIV tests.
$1 donation = 1 HIV test.
The SW region of Uganda where we stage these festivals has the fastest rate of increase in HIV infections on the whole continent of Africa. The primary at-risk population are the 18-25 population, and especially women and girls who often have no access to schooling, health care, and urban areas and services in general. We are targeting this area, and that population within it to fight the HIV epidemic using music and the arts. Each plane ticket costs $1,800
Each American costs an additional $400 to feed, house, and transport from Rwanda to Kabale, get them back and forth across the lake. We are looking for sponsors for each activity. each person, each aspect of the initiative.
The best part - every penny of your donation is 100% tax deductible because it is to a 501(c)(3) organization.
You may donate the night of the fundraiser or by visiting http://www.gofundme.com/hamp-entusi
