The Bowspring is an innovative, curvy, and dynamic postural movement system. The practice includes yoga-inspired postures with emphasis on activating and balancing the connective tissue layer of the body and maintaining the natural curvatures of the spine while creating a light and powerful template for optimal performance in athletics as well as daily activities. Bowspring is an invigorating and therapeutic practice for movement students curious to explore unique ways to use their body/mind system for balanced health, wellness, and vitality, and increased mental acuity.

For a preview of Bowspring click this workshop led by Laura Jarrait, E-RYT500, students will :- be introduced to the what, why, and challenges of Bowspring - learn the component pieces of the general template of the Bowspring alignment - put the pieces together in an exploration of Level I postures through demonstrations, discussion, and practice- practice a slow flow version of the BowSpring connecting postures into a mindful movement sequence

Laura has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for twenty years and a beloved teacher for ten. Laura is passionate about sharing with students how to use the powerful combination of right seeing, intention, movement, meditation, and inquiry to bring true transformation to all levels of being. Laura’s particular skill as a teacher is her ability to make practical connections from her knowledge in many different fields of influence accessible to students. She is a true educator and is dedicated to creating an environment in which students are invited to safely explore their edges to increase their body-mind and life capacity. A long time student of alignment-based yoga, she continues to explore evolving movement and inquiry paradigms to bring her students the most effective tools for transformation possible. To that end she is excited to be a pioneer in teaching the revolutionary Bowspring alignment and movement paradigm which has the capacity to change the way we experience ourselves.
