Vaughn Avery, an accomplished circus artist in Mime and Clowning will be in New Orleans to teach 2 workshops in Physical Theater & Mime. Vaughn has toured the world for decades performing in small spaces, street performance and large arenas. Vaughn has been apart of many traveling circuses and theater companies across the country. Vaughn's focus now is to pass his years of stage knowledge to the younger generation. It's a great opportunity for any aspiring performer or even a seasoned professional looking to fine tune their acts with some study of mime and Physical theater.

NO EXPERIENCE necessary.
If you are a performer, class content is valuable for all stage performances such as: theater, clowning, mime, Burlesque, aerial or circus arts, performance art, musicians, Drag, and boylesque...but the list goes on. Literally, this kind of technical skill can compliment any performer who wants to relate better with their audiences.

This is the beginner, 1st Series. There will be 2 offered. The course is 5 weeks long, twice a week. Every Monday and Thursday starting Jan 12th- Feb 9th from 6pm-8pm @ the New Orleans School of Burlesque.
Dates: Jan: 12th (Thursday), 16th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 30th, Feb:2nd, 6th, 9th
The course is $250 for 18 hours of content!

Course Content:
Isolations, Rhythmic Undulation, Suspension, Vibratory, Shadow and Freeze, Countermove/ Move, freeze points/ lead points, system of Circles Expansion / Contraction, Extension, Emotions, & creating illusions of the body in space.
(Students will learn what all these terms mean during the course)
