Eat Local New Orleans is thrilled to be celebrating Eat Local Month with our neighbors and partners and fellow food sustainable food advocates on O.C. Haley Blvd. including Purloo Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Jack and Jakes Public Market, Church Alley Coffeehouse, Primitivo, Bike Easy, Youth Empowerment Project, and Cafe Reconcile.

Destination Kitchen Food Tours will be putting on a tour of ORETHA CASTLE HALEY restaurants starting at 12 PM for $65. Tour includes cocktails and food tastings at Church Alley Coffeehouse, Primitivo, Casa Borrega, Purloo, and Jack & Jake's.

We will be cooking a whole pig + challengers will be able to sample, raccoon, venison, nutria, rabbit, and possum.

Challengers will get discounted admission to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. $5 off. Regularly $10.

YEP's trifigura bike project will be doing on site bike tune ups. Stop by and get your ride in tip top share for June. 11-1pm.

Bike Easy will be on site providing literature and giving a boost to those taking the #EatLocalFootprint Challenge. Details linked.

The Stacks Bookstore, Goods that Matter and Invade located upstairs on the mezzanine of Church Alley Coffeebar and Zeitgeist will be doing a special 15% off all products!

We will also sampling many wild edibles including Chicory Root, Dandelion Greens, purslane, amaranth and Mayhaw berries.

And we will have for sale Mayhaw berries, purslane (1) Rabbit (1) Nutria, and (1) Raccoon
