Courtesy Major League Eating:

Major League Eating is proud to announce the return of The Rouses Crawfish Eating World Championship. This year marks the sixth annual fray between man and woman and crawfish and themselves and each other. The battle for the Crawfish Cup promises to be a battle for all time. When dark fills the streets of New Orleans, LA, on Saturday April 11th, only the brave and true and strong shall remain standing. The rest shall huddle in the dark corners. Do not speak their names.

Adrian "The Rabbit" Morgan is brave and true and strong. He is also the reigning Rouses Crawfish Eating World Championship, having successfully dethroned Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, the hitherto Queen of the Craw. In the 2014 event, Morgan—a handsome and athletic man—ate 2.7lb of Rouses crawfish boil to Thomas's 2.2lb. It was his first victory in the event he vowed one day to win. See what happens when you put your mind to things, people? That's wish fulfillment.

Morgan hails from Baton Rouge, LA, but now calls New Orleans home. He has pledged to be front and center at the table again this year—to ward off any challengers, be they named "Sonya Thomas" or not.

To be successful in this discipline, you must understand the crawfish. You must learn her secrets. Rouses Markets boils Louisiana crawfish and serves up their famous dish to competitors, who must peel the crawfish to extract the meat during the 10-minute event. To know the crawfish is to beat the crawfish. That and crazy-fast hands and extraordinary stomach capacity.

Do you dare challenge The Rabbit? Do you want justice for Sonya? There is no better place to be than The Rouses Crawfish Eating World Championship at this year's French Quarter Festival. At the table or in the crowd—don't you ever miss it!
