The Ghostwood says
The Ghostwood is finally breaking up. It's been a long time coming and it's all just gotten to be too much of late. Chris with his employer-sponsered weight loss competitions. Billy with his incessant other band practices and crawfish/fireworks gigs. Andy running around trying to be a fireman hero in order to fill the hole in his heart created when the band retired his BOSS Metal Zone pedal on day one. Jonathan, the worst one, just generally being a whiney little turd.

This is a band that has been together since 2004, but let's face it, they haven't written or put out anything good since 2005's Development anyway. And it's not like they ever really had a punk or diy ethos after the first year. God forbid they ever support the local scene by going to shows other than their own, or even sticking around to watch the other bands at the ones they do play.

For anyone who has liked this band over the last 12 years, this has been such a long con. You really are a total sucker. The Ghostwood never had any intention to write enough material to record a record every two to three years, or to tour, or to practice regularly, or to actually take those few practices seriously so that they didn't sound completely terrible when you saw them play a show. They MIGHT practice like twice before this one.

So come see the Ghostwood play their last show and, at last, put the final nail in this long overdue coffin. Some other bands are playing that, as mentioned above, the Ghostwood won't watch or care about. Hopefully they play first so they can just go home early and everyone can forget this whole thing ever happened.
