Tinctures, or alcohol extracts, are a popular and convenient way to consume herbs as medicine. They are used to address a variety of ailments, especially acute conditions that require immediate attention and ease of use.

This class will demystify tincture making, which is surprisingly simple and straight-forward. It will also explore the history, uses, advantages and disadvantages of liquid extracts and various forms of preparation. Each participant can make a 8oz jar of tincture to take home.

Fee: Sliding scale of $20 - 35; each participant can make an 8oz jar of tincture to take home - (supplies fee $5)

Preventative medicine starts in the kitchen with healing herbs and foods. In this class, we will discuss the medicinal benefits of culinary herbs and the digestive system as the root of health.

We all have our up's and down's and days when our soul needs comfort. Come learn ways to use herbs and essences to help the body cope with stress and promote mental and emotional balance.

Salves & Infused Oils for Healthy Skin
Monday, June 26th, 7-9pm
Your skin is a telltale sign of your true inner health: wounds, scars, chronic conditions. This class will demonstrate how to use herbs to make healing oils and salves, as well as internally, to heal our skin both from the inside and out.

~ Each class is a sliding scale $20-35 per class; supplies are optional w/ $5 fee
