Good news for all those planning a rail trip through Spain sometime soon – high-speed operator Ouigo is having a massive train ticket sale, and it’s on this week.

The company’s launch of their ‘Pink Days’ promotion means that a whole host of people will be able to get their hands on cheaper tickets for journeys from tomorrow (January 17) until March 10. Ouigo aims to sell 80 percent of its tickets, and the prices will range between €9-25 (£7.75-12.95, $9.80-16.30).

And given the operator runs a few services including a Madrid-Zaragoza-Tarragona-Tarragona route, a Madrid-Valencia route and a Madrid-Albacete-Alicante route, this is a pretty good deal. The sale has been live since 9am this morning (Tuesday, January 16) and will end at 11.59 pm tomorrow night

But even if you fail to bag a bargain, don’t fret – Ouigo’s general rates start at €9, with a flat rate of just €5 for children between 4 and 13 years old. The Ouigo full service allows two additional bags, an XL seat, access to ‘Ouifun entertainment’ and unlimited date or time changes – that is pretty flexible.

Even more excitingly, this low-cost operator will likely be expanding its services throughout the year, with plans to reach Valladolid, Segovia, Murcia and Elche first, followed by Córdoba, Málaga and Seville
