According to the World Travel Awards, a gala that has annually celebrated the best of travel, tourism and hospitality since 1993, The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is the leading tourist attraction in Europe. Other nominees included Buckingham Palace in London, Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Acropolis of Athens.
The Guinness Storehouse won the award for the first time back in 2015, and ranks as the very best tourist attraction in Ireland overall. It’s planted right in the heart of Dublin, a city known for its abundance of history, culture and good craic.
A lover of the Black Stuff? This place is definitely worth checking out. The Storehouse is not only where Guinness has been brewed for the last 250 years, it offers a behind-the-scenes look at the intricacies of making and pouring this world-famous pint.
There’s a cinema room dedicated to screening vintage Guinness adverts and a recently renovated Gravity Bar which has gorgeous views of the Irish capital. So grab a pint of gat and head up to the bar on the seventh floor – you might see why this place dedicated to the history and craft of the world’s most famous stout came out on top.
