Time Out says
Cyril Lignac goes Japanese-style.
What should I order? California rolls with salmon, avocado, jalapeno and sriracha.
Cyril Lignac is now a household name and his Parisian restaurant empire is ever growing. Distressed brickwork, wicker lamps and patterned banquettes at Le Bar des Pres are all within his remit, but it’s the Japanese elements at Le Bar des Près which diverge from his usual style.
Keeping one eye on the bartender and one eye on the kitchen with a seat at the marble bar, grab a California roll with salmon, avocado, jalapeno and sriracha (€25), before moving onto a crispy galette with madras curry, avocado and lemon (€19).
Cocktails are super refreshing, like the péché mignon with mint, peach puree, elderflower cordial and ginger ale (€10). Dessert is profiteroles with yuzu cream and Brittany strawberries (€12). Extravagant and on point. Bravo Cyril.
