Sofas, exhibition and DJ sets: welcome to this arty Strasbourg Saint-Denis neighbourhood bar.
Located on Boulevard Sébastopol, Poly draws in the punters with its large bay window and luminous "P". Like the much-loved Point Ephémère and Kader Attia’s recent gem La Colonie, Poly offers an artistic and musical program, as well as the perfect atmosphere for post work boozing. The first floor is devoted to the work of emerging artists, including exhibitions and projections. Surfaces are covered with frescoes, which change with the seasons. The basement, which is smaller, darker and more intimate than upstairs, hosts DJs. Producer Hologram Lo ' is already a regular appearance.
On top of all that are “Poly days” – a selection of chill out playlists to be listened to slumped on a sofa on the ground floor, plus a giant screen to watch games with a beer and a food corner serving regularly-changing cuisine; think African comfort food, Vietnamese banh-mi or craft hot dogs. In other words, monotony is not in Poly’s vocabulary. You know where to find us this weekend…
