Time Out says

A four-star with all the creature comforts you could want on your travels

You’ll find the Courtyard in Montrouge, just south of Paris’s fourteenth arrondissement. It’s a good base to head back to after a day of exploring the capital, especially if you need to head out from Orly airport, which is a 15-minute drive away. There’s a gym onsite, as well as the French bistro, Oleo Pazzo. The décor throughout is fairly simple, with earthy tones and splashes of colour, and in each of the rooms you’ll find a large flatscreen telly, mini-fridge and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Neighbourhood: This busy little commune in the Parisian suburbs contains a cluster of bars, restaurants and shops, as well as the large Cimetière de Bagneux and other smaller green spaces scattered around. From the Courtyard, it’s a seven-minute walk to Laplace RER station, which can get you to the Catacombs in 15 minutes, Notre-Dame in 25, and the Eiffel Tower in 40.

Nearby:
Sayuri: For impeccably prepared sushi and intriguing artwork
Les Catacombes: For history buffs with a taste for the macabre
Parc de Sceaux: For a breath of fresh air in 180 hectares of beautifully manicured greenery

Time Out tip: Streetside rooms here aren’t noisy, but if you want a really quiet night, request a room away from the road.
