Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Time Out says
A familiar level of luxury within stumbling distance of the airport
You can’t go wrong with an international chain as huge as Hilton. Across the globe their hotels have a uniformly upmarket vibe, and the Charles de Gaulle airport hotel is no different. Crisp, calming tones of grey and brown flood the vast grounds, with splashes of pink or blue every now and then. It’s quick and easy to walk here from Terminal 3 and they offer a free shuttle service to the other terminals. During a stay here, guests can enjoy the hotel’s indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and gym. Plus there’s the Skylight Bar & Restaurant, which serves contemporary French dishes, and 24-hour room service. Another foodie bonus: if you have an executive room, you get access to the Executive Lounge, where you can enjoy an all-day continental breakfast (free, naturally).
Neighbourhood: Given that Roissy-en-France is largely taken up by the airport, there’s little wiggle room when it comes to things to do. Charles de Gaulle has numerous boutiques, eateries and stores where you can get the essentials, but venturing outside will lead you to Aéroville, a huge shopping mall with a food court and cinema. Or if you’re willing to venture further afield, the RER B will have you in the centre of Paris in half an hour.
Disneyland Paris: For all-day family fun that suits all ages
Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace: For aeronautical history, set in the old passenger terminal of Le Bourget airport
Sausset State Park: For a breath of fresh air, animals and children’s activities
Time Out tip: Sign up to the Hilton Honors programme and get free wi-fi – both in your room and throughout the hotel.
