A renovation that takes this hotel back to its Jazz Age glory

Not far from the Eiffel Tower, the area surrounding Hotel Eiffel Blomet has more than a bit of history about it.

Located on the street of the same name, which housed a famous cabaret club that welcomed the likes of Josephine Baker, Miró and sculptor Pablo Gargallo, Hotel Eiffel Blomet has undergone a renovation fit for its setting.

Built in 1931 at the height of the Jazz Age, the building has refound its Art Deco elegance. A team of well known hoteliers have lent their expertise to the project, and the interior architecture has been created by Bruno Borrione (of the hotels Prince de Galles and Royal Monceau). The Art Deco theme is present but hasn’t been taken too literally either - it doesn’t feel like you’re walking into a jazz club/costume party.

The entrance is elegant and understated - to your left, the reception; to your right, a cosy bar area where you can help yourself to a drink.

The 78 rooms and 9 suites come in a range of sizes - catering for families, business trips, romantic city breaks. Nespresso machines, closet space, the softest cotton sheets you’ll find, and of course, given the renovation, everything is brand spanking new. Nuxe beauty products give a fancy shower or bath. Each room is carefully thought out and space has been optimised but no corners cut in terms of quality.

On the ground floor you’ll find the breakfast dining area which covers all bases for a relaxing petit déjeuner before you start your day. You’re offered a buffet of yoghurt, meats and cheese, breads and jams, the quintessential pastries. There’s a little leafy courtyard which is perfect for a drink or your breakfast.

However, the true heart of Hotel Eiffel Blomet is the spa and swimming pool area. Pure artistry has gone into the mosaic tiling, and the beautiful mirrors that trace the edge of the pool are 100% glamour. Add to that a massage room, hammam, sauna and you've everything you need to decompress after a day of work or touristy pleasure. Few hotels in Paris can say they've got this treasure in their basement floors...

All in all, the new Hotel Eiffel Blomet has had so much more than a makeover. It's in a whole new league from what it was before.
