Kyriad Orly Aéroport
Time Out says
Cheap and cheerful lodgings located near Orly
Don’t worry about struggling to find the Kyriad: not only is it painted a peppy, easy-to-spot pink, it also provides a free shuttle service to take you to and from Orly airport (the T7 tram will also stops nearby). The décor is contemporary and fun (there’s a desktop computer in an old suitcase in the lobby), there’s a buffet breakfast and each room is soundproofed from the inevitable flight rumblings. There are the facilities to make hot drinks in your room and you can also order room service. Alternatively you can eat out at one of the many restaurants dotted about Athis Mons, and if you’ve got a car you can get to the southside of Paris in under 30 minutes.
Neighbourhood: Across the Seine in Draveil is Port aux Cérises, a family-friendly leisure park with skate ramps, a lido, theme park rides, a min train, min golf and an equestrian centre. Closer to the hotel – across the street in fact – is Essonne Doors public pool, while down the road is Carrefour shopping mall.
Port aux Cérises: For adventure seekers after a full day of rides, games and sports activities
Marché International de Rungis: For serious foodies who want to get their hands on the same produce as Paris’s prime restaurants
Parc de Sceaux: For a breath of fresh air in 180 hectares of beautifully manicured greenery
