Opened in 2015, this unassuming hotel in Aulnay-sous-Bois still has a fresh feel to it: bright, neat and modest. It’s a ten-minute ride on the RER from Charles de Gaulle and another ten to walk from the station, so a convenient option if you need to be close to the airport. Most of the hotel is decorated in either white or muted tones, apart from the breakfast room and bar area, where there’s a Moroccan theme. Ornate tiling and multifoil arches abound, plus there’s a purple pool table. All the rooms are uncluttered and light, with wi-fi access, smart TVs, walk-in showers and coffee machines.
Neighbourhood: Compared to the other communes around the airport, Aulnay-sous-Bois is pretty well served. Stepping out here will lead you to Jacques Prévert Theatre and Cinema, Aulnay Hammam Turkish baths, and all manner of food, from local cuisine (Au Chantilly) to Japanese (Royal Tokyo) and Mediterranean (La Bonne Etoile). Back towards the Charles de Gaulle is Aéroville, a huge shopping mall with a food court and cinema. Or if you’re willing to venture further afield, the RER B will have you in the centre of Paris in under half an hour.
