Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
A refined four-star spa hotel in which to unwind on your travels
Located ten minutes’ drive from Terminal 1, this four-star stay from the Oceania group offers a little haven away from the airport. There’s a free shuttle service that will drop you directly at the elegant reception, replete with a striking wall of foliage. A glance to the right will reveal the indoor heated pool and gym, while behind closed doors there’s also a sauna, hot tub and massage tables. Oceania’s chic design continues through to the rooms, which provide free wi-fi, digital TV, walk-in showers and Nespresso coffee machines (superior rooms upwards). For a bite to eat, visit the Nautilus restaurant downstairs, which is inspired by flavours from around the globe, with dishes like tandoori tuna and crab maki on the menu.
Neighbourhood: Given that Oceania Roissy sits right on the edge of the airport, there’s little wiggle room when it comes to things to do. Charles de Gaulle has numerous boutiques, eateries and stores where you can get the essentials, but venturing outside will lead you to the Exhibition Centre, a huge space that regularly hosts major conferences and events, such as the annual Japan Expo. Or if you’re willing to venture further afield, the RER B will have you in the centre of Paris in half an hour.
Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace: For aeronautical history, set in the old passenger terminal of Le Bourget airport
Disneyland Paris: For all-day family fun that suits all ages
Aéroville: For serious shoppers, with an ample food court and cinema
Time Out tip: Charles de Gaulle is only a 20-minute drive from Parc Astérix, so if you’re planning on going there, ask Oceania in advance about deals. They often have discounts or hotel and park packages.
