Acoustic Evening With Bo De Peña And Riverside Cathedral says
8pm: Riverside Cathedral is a Gypsy Jazz band, that draws from a plethora of different and individual musical backgrounds, to include Jazz,Gypsy, Folk, and World Music influences. Keyboard, sax, guitar, kazoo...this band has got it all!

9:20pm: Bo DePeña has a bluesy/folk style, with a powerful voice and energetic presence. Originally from Laredo, TX, Bo has been an active musician in the Texas scene for over ten years. Through his experiences living in Texas, Colorado, and New York City - along with playing music in ten states and over 30 cities - Bo has slowly developed his skills as a singer/songwriter and entertainer. He is now touring the country and showcasing his unique twist on modern folk and Americana music.

While in Brooklyn, Bo started work on his latest project; a semi-autobiographical record of his journey from Laredo to The Big City. It mirrors his experiences with romance, career, family, and the psychological struggles relating to big-city life. While his time in New York helped him compose his music, he found that it was only fitting to record the album in his home state of Texas.

That album, "There's No Way Out of Here," was recorded at the beautiful Blue Rock Studios in Wimberley, TX, which has recorded artists such as Lyle Lovett, Sarah Jarosz, and Donovan Frankenreiter. At the helm of the record was producer/engineer Charlie Kramsky, and supporting Bo was an amazing cast of Austin musicians and players.
Doors open at 7:15pm. Admission $8.
